Pan de Yuca (Bono)
Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I last posted and I swear I have a BUNCH of recipes waiting to be shared with all of you! It's just that it's hard to keep up with work (teaching) and blogging but I promise I will try to do better!
Okay, so today I want to share with you this simple but obviously delicious recipe called "Pan de Bono". "Pan de Bono" it's a Colombian cheese bread (In most S.A. countries it has different names, example: "Chipa" in Argentina.) made with tapioca starch, cheese, eggs, butter, and milk. And today I will share with you my recipe for these soft and chewie gluten-free bread clouds.
Here's the recipe:

Okay, so today I want to share with you this simple but obviously delicious recipe called "Pan de Bono". "Pan de Bono" it's a Colombian cheese bread (In most S.A. countries it has different names, example: "Chipa" in Argentina.) made with tapioca starch, cheese, eggs, butter, and milk. And today I will share with you my recipe for these soft and chewie gluten-free bread clouds.
Here's the recipe:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup of Tapioca Starch or Yuca Flour
- 1 cup of milk
- 3 tbs of butter
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 1/4 cup of Italian blend cheese
- 1/2 cup of Feta Cheese
- 1 egg
Instructions:
- First, add the flour/starch in a bowl and combine with baking powder, salt, and butter.
- Next, add in the egg and the cheeses to the flour/starch and butter mix.
- Last, add milk little by little until the mix is doughy and it doesn't crumble. Make 15 inch balls.
- Place on a tray with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook for 15 to 16 minutes, until it browns a little.
Buen Provecho!
Love always,
Mimi
